Nigerian pop artist Oladipupo Olabode Oladimenji, also known as Oladips has passed away.
He died on Tuesday night at precisely 10:14 p.m., according to a recent post on his official Instagram page.
Social media videos about the Lalakukulala artist circulated showing him appearing to have collapsed as his friends encircled him in the late hours of yesterday.
Oladips had appealed for assistance on his Instagram stories earlier before the video went viral.
He mentioned @onlyonelifetime his friend, in the post. The rapper lamented the fact that he had called him multiple times and that they were aware of his dislike of being left alone in the house, particularly due to his health.
Oladips had kept his “battles within himself” for more than two years, according to the statement.
Oladips’s family is still holding his body, and funeral arrangements will soon be made public.
