Fulham FC and Portugal midfielder João Palhinha is set to become the first signing of new Bayern Munich manager Vincent Kompany, who is seeking to bolster his team.

Club-to-club talks are expected to follow with a transfer fee of around €45 million for the talented player, whom Kompany believes will be a good addition to his team.

‘‘Kompany believes it could be an excellent, needed addition.’’ Fabrizio Romano wrote on X.
Recall that while reacting after he was unveiled as the new Bayern coach, Kompany said that he is looking forward to the challenge of working with the players and building a team.
Kompany said, “I’m looking forward to the challenge at FC Bayern.”
“As a coach, you have to stand up for who you are as a person. I love having possession of the ball and being creative, and we also have to be aggressive on the pitch and brave.”
“I’m now looking forward to the most basic things: working with the players and building a team. When the foundation is in place, success will follow.”
Kompany’s appointment comes after Thomas Tuchel decided not to stay on as manager of Bayern Munich, following his earlier declaration that he would quit the team at the end of the season.
