Peter Obi, Labour Presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, has expressed his delight over Ide John Udeagbala’s appointment as Aba City’s Mayor by Abia State Governor, Dr Alex Otti.

Obi said that Udeagbala, a renowned businessman and industrialist, has earned this esteemed role through years of hard work and the successful establishment of various ventures and businesses.

He said Mr. Udeagbala’s extensive leadership experience, including his previous role as President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture, positions him as a valuable asset in the effort to rejuvenate Aba City’s industrial and commercial sectors.

His words:

”I have always advocated that people should be appointed or elected into public offices based on their character, competence and capacity.

”Udeagbala, over the years, has proven himself worthy of such public trust. I wish him well in his new assignment.

”I also thank Gov Otti for this initiative, and for all his efforts to deliver good governance to the people of Abia State.

”By doing the right things, and providing ethical leadership to the people, we will build the New Nigeria of our dreams.”

Obi extended his best wishes to Udeagbala in his new assignment and commended Governor Otti for the appointment.

He further acknowledged the importance of ethical leadership and the commitment to good governance in Nigeria.
