A Nigerian artist, Joel Amadi, has revealed what other artists must do to succeed in the music industry.
Joel Amadi, better known as Joe El, said such a person should be ready to relocate to Lagos State.

Justifying his claim, the singer said one of the reasons is that the big record labels are in Lagos.
He also said most of the investors willing to commit their resources to the industry are based in Lagos.
According to the musician, 99 per cent of A-list artists have the state as their base.
There are talented people in other states as well, but the people who make things happen in the industry are in Lagos, he said.
Joe El, whose deal with Kenny Music expired last July, said it is after one makes it big that one can start performing outside Lagos because people from different places would be calling one for shows.
The musician, who started his career in Kano, said that although there are many talented artists there, one cannot make it big there because there are no A-list artists in that state.
He said one needs to be around the circle of the top shots in the industry to make it big.
Top musicians in the country like Tuface, P-Square, Davido and Tiwa Savage, among others, all reside in Lagos.
