Ahead of the 2023 presidential election, Governor Yahaya Bello has urged Nigerian youths, who protested police brutality on the platform of the EndSARS Movement, to vote for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), had questioned the intention of the protesters at Lekki tollgate after they were attacked by military officers on October 20, 2020.
In an interview with ChannelsTV on Monday, September 19, the Kogi state governor noted that the EndSARS protesters did not go about the protest the right way.
Bello described Tinubu as the right way out of the challenges bedevilling Nigeria.
“I am equally going to tell, sensitise and educate them about where they are headed or how they will get it wrong if they don’t follow the right way, and the right way is to vote senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who will come and display his prowess in solving the problems we are being confronted with,” Bello said.
The 47-year-old Kogi governor was recently appointed as the Youth Coordinator of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Organization.
