Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson has endorsed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos state for a second term.
In a post via her Instagram page, the movie star said the Lagos governor, who is contesting on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, had recorded achievements in some sectors of the state and is deserving of a second term.
She pointed out that healthcare, women’s development, transportation, entrepreneurship, education, and infrastructure in Lagos State have improved under Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu’s tenure.
The actress wrote:
“Key points for me include the handling of the Covid 19 pandemic, entrepreneurship support and all the work behind the scenes helping women who have been victims of domestic violence to supporting their entrepreneurship.”
Mercy Johnson said she believes the current Lagos governor will perform more if he is elected for a second term.
Meanwhile, Mercy johnson’s husband, Prince Odi Okojie, has won the Esan North East/South East Federal Constituency election in Edo State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that Okojie emerged winner with total votes of 21,764 to defeat the PDP, which scored 10,007, while LP scored 11,528.
Dr Victor Imade, the Returning Officer from the University of Jos, made the declaration at the Esan North Local Government Collation Centre in Edo.
