Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has declined to comment on the recent claim by AY Makun, his colleague, on their years-long feud.
In a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, the media personality, AY said their 17-year-old feud started over N30,000 debt.
On Saturday, a video wherein Basketmouth appeared to be addressing the issue surfaced online.
In the clip, the comedian was seen performing at an event when his audience asked him to tell his own side of the story.
“Them say na N30k,” some members of the audience were heard saying in reference to AY’s claim.

But responding, Basketmouth said he would rather keep mum to avoid dragging the matter further.
He said:
“The thing is, to be honest, I would have loved to talk about it, but some people will record it. Then it will leak and they will say that I have responded,” he said.
“To be honest, I don’t want that guy to ever hear from me.”
In another news, Basketmouth has disclosed that he will quit being a comedian in the next five years.
He made the statement during a recent interview with the radio station Hitz 103.9FM. He said he plans to explore new terrains.
The comedian stated that he is into movies, series, and concert production, noting that he wants to experience something new and be remembered for something else other than comedy.
