Hon. Adamu Ndanusa, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has alleged that President Bola Tinubu has been facing exceptional hatred and animosity from his political opponents since he assumed office as Nigeria’s leader.
Ndanusa characterised the intense hatred against Tinubu as a “disease” that blinds individuals to objective facts, distorts their judgment, and leads them to believe negative propaganda against him, regardless of evidence.
He highlighted various allegations and attacks against Tinubu, including claims of drug involvement, age falsification, and rigging of elections.
His words:
”His enemies are just extremely annoyed that he beat them to the game. They just couldn’t understand how he won the election despite the religious and ethnic cards they played recklessly.
”They assassinated his character by calling him a drug baron, age falsifier and all sorts, yet he won. How did he do it? They have to console themselves by claiming that he rigged the election.
”They went to the tribunal but could not produce evidence of rigging and resorted to looking for disqualification.
”It is even laughable that they are now relying on an allegation that the highly respected Gani Fawehinmi could not prove against Tinubu in his lifetime.
”If the allegation was true, how come Gani Fawehinmi was not able to substantiate it in a court of law?
”How come no single allegation against Tinubu has ever been proven or substantiated despite being the most investigated former governor in Nigeria?
”Hatred is a disease that blinds you to glaring facts. It deafens you to the right rhythm and makes you sing off-tune and dance off-sync. It closes your intellect to all forms of objectivity. Hatred is indeed a disease!”
The APC chieftain also emphasised the importance of evidence and objectivity in assessing allegations against public figures.
