The Federal University of Technology Ikot Abasi has sworn in the Emir of Kantagora Alhaji Muhammadu Mu’azu as their first VC of the university, the new university of technology is said to be located at Ikot Abasi, Awka Ibom State.
The Emir who is a first-class graduate expressed willingness to take the university to greater heights, the Emir also explained his decision to introduce incentives such as awards aimed at promoting student’s academic performance in the university.
Aliyu also expressed his appreciation to the Federal Government for choosing him as the pioneer vice chancellor of the University, assuring his readiness to oversee the runnings of the varsity.
The Governor of Akwa Ibom state represented by the deputy said that the appointment was rightfully and that hopes to see the varsity as a top go-to place for learning.
News.ng also recalls that the Buhari lead administration had established the varsity in 2021 in his efforts to make tertiary education easily accessible to Nigerians.
