Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria(AMEN) will recommence its operation at the Ministry after 15 weeks of suspension.
Fr Mbaka, in a statement via the Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria’s Facebook account disclosed that the Ministry is to be re-opened on Sunday 2nd October.
The post read: Dear Adorers, to the glory of God, Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria Amen, starts on Sunday 2nd October 2022 with 10 am mass at the Adoration ground, Umuchigbo, Iji Nke Emene, Enugu State”. “God bless you miraculously as you come to worship God with us”.
The Adoration Ministry was prohibited after a prolonged public disagreement, followed by a comment made by Fr Ejike Mbaka, who described Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party(LP) as a “stingy man”.
As the incident was ongoing, Fr Mbaka asked his followers not to vote for the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi in the upcoming presidential 2023 election, which prompted mixed reactions and disapproval from Netizens and Citizens.
According to the Diocese which had pronounced the spiritual director’s position(Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka) failed to comply with the provisions of the Canon Law “which forbids priests from engaging in partisan politics” and political affairs.
