Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has declared that he is not a prisoner in a new track about his latest travails with the police.
In snippets of the track, which was shared on Instagram, the musician recalled his recent experience with the authorities, which landed him in prison.
News.ng recalls that Portable made headlines after he was captured in a viral video resisting arrest by police operatives.

He was arrested and detained for three days before being arraigned before an Ogun State Magistrate Court, sitting in Ifo, on a three-count charge bothering on assault and theft of musical equipment.
Portable was later granted N800,000 bail; however, the Magistrate ordered that the singer be remanded at the correctional centre in Ilaro pending the perfection of his bail conditions.
Following his release, the Zazu crooner dropped the new song titled “I’m not a prisoner,” where he narrated his encounter with prison officials.
In another news, Nigerian singer Terry G has warned those comparing him to his embattled colleague, Portable, to stop making a such comparison.
The musician gave the warning on social media after some Nigerians said Portable’s recent confrontation with the police is similar to the conduct of Terry G.
However, Terry G, who seemed displeased by the comparison, objected to the statement saying it’s like comparing the original with a photocopy.
