The 1 Division Nigerian Army Kaduna troops as part of their continuing clearance operations have neutralized 10 terrorists within a week.
News.ng also gathered that weapons and vehicles that the criminals use for their operations had been reportedly taken too.
In a statement released by Lieutenant Colonel Musa Yahaya who is the Acting Deputy Director of the Army’s Public Relations, 1 Division Nigerian Army, stated that four bandits who had been terrorizing the locals were killed on November 1, 2023, as a result of a clearance operation carried out by troops of 1 Division Nigerian Army and Operation Whirl Punch in the general area of Kampanin Doka village at Birnin Gwari LGA of Kaduna State.
One AK-47 gun, one AK-47 magazine, a machete, a cell phone, and fourteen motorcycles were taken from the offenders by the army during the operation.
In a related occurrence, on November 2, 2023, a few farmers in the State’s Sabon Sara hamlet who were harvesting their crops in the western section of the village fled and informed the authorities of a bandit attack.
The spokesperson stated that as soon as the forces learned of the situation, they mobilized rapidly to the location. Four of the farmers bravely joined the troops and killed one bandit, while the other farmers withdrew in disorder after suffering gunshot wounds.
While one of the farmers, Mallam Abdulrahman Aliyu, was taken to a nearby military hospital for treatment after suffering minor injuries during the operation, the troops recovered 2 AK-47 riffles.
