President Bola Tinubu has officially approved the appointment of the Governing Board and Management team of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
The appointment is made under the provisions of Section 2(3) of the FERMA Amendment Act of 2007, and the appointees will serve for a renewable term of four years.
The president’s spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, issued a statement outlining the individuals who will lead and manage FERMA.
They are:

- Managing Director of FERMA: Engr. Chukwuemeka Agbasi
- Member (NARTO): Yusuf Lawal Othman
- Member (FMW): Engr. Ibi Terna Manasseh
- Member (FRSC): ACM Shehu Mohammed
- Member (Finance): Babatunde Daramola-Oniru
- Member (South-South): Hon. Preye Oseke
- Member (South-West): Hon. Oye Ojobe
- Member (South-East): Dr. Kenneth Ugbala
- Member (North-Central): Sen. Timothy Adudu
- Member (North-East): Engr. Abubakar Bappa
- Member (North-West): Aminu Adamu Papa
The statement emphasized President Tinubu’s expectation for the newly appointed individuals to deliver integral and competent service, given FERMA’s crucial role in maintaining and improving growth-enabling infrastructure nationwide.
FERMA plays a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and sustainability of Nigeria’s road infrastructure, a fundamental aspect of the country’s economic growth and development.
