Nigerian singer Skales has addressed his long beef with Afrobeats superstar, Wizkid.
In 2015, Skales and Wizkid exchanged insults on the microblogging platform Twitter after he said WizKid was too busy to collaborate with him.
Skales explained in a recent interview with Echo Room that he had intended that as a joke, but Wizkid had taken offence to it.
He disclosed that his friend had phoned to tell him that WizKid was insulting his father on Twitter because of what he had said.

According to Skales, the responses that came from his account at the time weren’t even from him but rather from his girlfriend.
He continued that he felt offended by the entire incident but explained that WizKid might have been in a foul mood then.
In another news, Skales has played snippets of his unreleased track where he said he didn’t know he was married to the devil.
Although the rapper did not elaborate, it appears he was referring to his troubled marriage with his wife, Precious Hassanit.
In a clip on Instagram, Skales also played some parts of the track where he eulogised his late mother.
However, in a part of the song, he stated that someone who could have saved his mother from dying disappointed him.
