Jackson Ude, an ally of Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate of the 2023 elections, has made a damning allegation.
The US-based strategic communications expert alleged that President Bola Tinubu failed to sack Professor Mahmood Yakubu and Yusuf Magaji Bichi because they helped him to rig the 2023 presidential election.
While Yakubu is the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Bichi is the Director-General of the Department of State Security (DSS).
Ude said:
”DG, DSS, Yusuf Bichi and Chairman of INEC, Mahmoud Yakubu, are the two crooks enjoying the benefits of helping Bola Tinubu to rig the 2023 Presidential elections.
”Both men have been spared the hammer of sacking. They have continued in office after Service Chiefs and other heads of agencies have been fired. Indeed, a reward for criminal loyalty!”
Recall that President Tinubu recently sacked the service chiefs, the Inspector General of Police and the Customs Comptroller General.
Writing specifically on the INEC chairman, Ude said:
”How can you conduct an election so badly rigged that all the rigging evidence litter the court, and you still remain in office as INEC chairman?
”Even if you are not ashamed of the fraud you superintended, your families should be ashamed on your behalf and bold to tell you to quit.”
Atiku and his party, the PDP, are currently contesting the declaration of Tinubu by INEC as the president of Nigeria at the election tribunal.
Labour Party and Peter Obi, who came third after the contest, claims he won the election.
