Adamu Garba, an All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, has declared that the Bola Tinubu-led government would be protected at all costs.
Garba, a former presidential aspirant on the ruling party’s platform, made the declaration in a social media post.
According to him, the new Nigeria hoped for by many citizens is embedded in the president’s agenda.
The Adamawa-born politician made his thoughts known as Tinubu faces increasing criticisms from northern Nigeria, where Garba hails from.
The criticisms of the president were heightened after a prominent northern politician, Nasir El-Rufai, didn’t scale through a security screening after he was nominated for a ministerial role by Tinubu.
Garba, the founder of the social media app, Crowwe, wrote:
”We believe in President Tinubu; we voted for him, we will protect his government, and we will work hard to protect his successes and legacies.
”We will not let anyone or group spoil our future as envisioned by the president. The New Nigeria we yearned for is embedded in the Renewed Hope agenda.”
It is unclear which individuals Garba referred to as ‘we’ in his post declaring support for the president.
However, the Abuja-based politician has been very vocal about supporting the president even before Tinubu was sworn in.
