Nigerian singer, Davido, has revealed that some of his colleagues used to come to his studio in the past to do their recordings.
The Emi Dami Duro crooner said artists like D’banj, Wizkid and others used to use the studio built for him by his father.
Davido disclosed this in an interview with the Million Dollar Worth of Game Podcast, published on Monday.
He said he had the best studio in Nigeria in the interview but said it was only open every two weeks because he was still in school as of then.
He said he used to go to the studio every two weeks, and then everybody would come over.
He said as of that time, he wasn’t recording his own music.
According to him, he was learning sound engineering.
He further said he always gave people ideas on how to sing hooks, after which his boys told him he could sing better than those coming to use the studio.
He said his friends kept pressuring him even when he insisted he was still in school.
However, he said he would try it, and then the first song he recorded became a hit.
The singer has since released his fourth album, ‘Timeless,’ which broke many African records on streaming platforms. He’s going on a United States tour to perform songs from the album for his growing international audience.
