Ayodeji Balogun, better known by his stage name Wizkid, has declared that he is taking a break from music while thinking of focusing on his sports career.
The gifted singer responded to a threat from a fan who was pressuring him to release new music by making the comments in a series of posts on his Instagram page.
After first posting a laughing emoji in response to the tweet, Wizkid later said on his Instagram profile that he was currently on vacation.
He went on to say that he might look into other sporting careers for four or five years after taking a vacation.
Wizkid took a detour from music to mention football, golf, FIFA, and wrestling as some of the athletic careers he plans to pursue in what seemed to be a joke.
The singer’s claim got additional online attention as a result of the large number of responses posted on the post’s comment page.
He wrote: “Una papa dey holiday, make I enjoy.”
“Back in 4 years, make una papa chop him money small or I fit still go dey play ball now.
“Or make I start dey play golf, Fifa or wrestling b*tch!”All of una dey craze! Everybody dey mad.
“On some G shit, I hope you mofuckas alright body mind and soul and taking time out to enjoy with your loved ones,” Wizkid said.
