Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani, the minister of communications and digital economy, has taken to social media to express his appreciation for the outgoing heads of key agencies and extend hearty congratulations to newly appointed leaders in the country’s technology and communications landscape.
Dr. Tijani expressed his appreciation for two distinguished individuals who have served in leadership roles in the technology sector: Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, the outgoing head of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
The minister stated that his leadership has played a crucial role in shaping telecommunications and regulatory standards in Nigeria.
He also mentioned Engr. Tukur Mohammed Lawal, the outgoing head of the National Communications Satellite Agency (NigComSat), noting that his contributions have been instrumental in advancing satellite communications in the nation.
Dr Tijani also congratulated those continuing in their roles, recognising their dedication and contributions.
They include:
- Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi: DG/CEO of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).
- Dr. Vincent Olatunji: National Commissioner/CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).
He offered a warm welcome to the newly appointed heads of agencies in the technology and communications sector, which include:
- Aminu Maida: Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).
- Tola Odeyemi: Postmaster General/CEO of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST).
- Nkechi Egerton-Idehen: Managing Director/CEO of NigComSat.
- Idris Alubankudi: Special Adviser to the President on Technology and Digital Economy.
