First Lady Aisha Buhari wished president-elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu a peaceful and successful administration when he succeeds her husband on May 29, 2023.
Aisha also commended Nigerians for their prayers and support all through the eight years of President Buhari’s administration.
In a statement released by the director of information at the office of the First Lady, Suleiman Haruna, Aisha appealed to Nigerians to continue to pray for sustainable peace and security in the country.

During the congressional Eid-el-Fitr prayer in Abuja, Aisha urged citizens to extend good virtues of sharing, love, support, forgiveness and sacrifice for the betterment of mankind.
Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari said that he has made some landmark achievements as the end of his eight years in office draws to a close.
He stated that part of his promises to Nigerians was to conduct a free and fair election which was held in February and April.
Part of the statement made to Muslims during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, Buhari said: Buhari’s statement read in part:
“It will go down on record as one of the proudest achievements of my administration in addition to our neutrality in the conduct of the elections.
“I’m proud that I have created a level playing field for all contestants regardless of party affiliation in order to produce a fair outcome for all.”
