Kaduna train abductee, Ango Abdullahi stop APC’s senator going for 5th term

Sadiq Ango Abdullahi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won the Sabon Gari Federal Constituency election with 33,616 votes.

The Kaduna train abductee defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) Mohammed Garba Datti, a four-time senator who had 31, 737 votes to emerge the winner, as reported on Daily Trust.

Sadiq who is the son of the chairman of the Northern Elders Forum, Prof. Ango Abdullahi won the election despite being kidnapped in 2022.

He spent 32 days in captivity before he was freed a week after 62 other abductees were released in May 2022.
