Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, the governor of Kwara, has congratulated the ministerial nominee from his state, Lateef Fagbemi.
Fagbemi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SANs), is one of the 12 SANs appointed by the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to defend the mandate of President Bola Tinubu.
He hails from Ijagbo in Oyun Local Government Area of the north-central state.
As a notable legal luminary, there are indications that Lateef would be appointed as the Attorney General of the Federation and minister of justice.
Governor Abdulrazaq said he looks forward to working with the senior lawyer as a representative of Kwarans in the Federal Executive Council.
He wrote:
“I congratulate Prince Lateef Fagbemi SAN on his nomination as a minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
“I heartily welcome the nomination and thank His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the honour done to the senior lawyer with a rich progressive pedigree.
“The nomination speaks to Fagbemi’s commitment to excellence, integrity, and personal accomplishments as a top-flight private prosecutor of many decades standing.
“I look forward to working closely with the learned silk as he joins the Federal Executive Council as a representative of the good people of Kwara State.
“I am convinced that Fagbemi’s representation will not only serve the #RenewedHope Agenda of Mr President but also add immense value to the people of Kwara State in uniquely positive ways.
“I pray Almighty Allah, exalted is He, to guide the President, the learned silk and other member-nominees of the Federal Executive Council as the government fully get down to the business of making Nigeria greater.”
