Peter Obi has been declared the winner in Edo state as the Labour Party (LP) defeated the All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom who represented INEC announced the winner after the LP polled 331,163 to win the state.
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu came second as the APC polled 144,471 while Atiku Abubakar’s PDP came third with 89,585 votes.

Rabiu Kwankwanso’s ANPP had scored 2,743 while the ZLP had 4082 to finish fourth in the Heart Beat of the Nation.
Obi also came out tops in Cross River states with 179,917 votes while the APC scored 130,520 votes, PDP scored 95,425 votes, NNPP scored 1,644 votes.
Another surprise package for the Anambra state indigene was the result released for Nasarawa state, Obi polled 191,361 votes ahead of the APC who scored 172,922 while PDP finished with 147,093.
Anambra was not different from the others as Obi continued his streak of victories, scoring 584,621 votes against the PDP who came second with 9,036 votes as APC came third with 5,111.
In Enugu Obi became the winner with 428,640 votes while the PDP were far behind with 15,749 and the APC came third with 4,772 votes.
Obi floored the PDP and the APC scoring 352,904 votes while Tinubu and Atiku scored 66,171 and 30,044 respectively.
