French Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain is leading in the race to sign Super Eagles and Napoli FC striker Victor Osimhen ahead of EPL sides Chelsea and Arsenal.
This report was made known in a publication by Italian media outfit Il Corriere dello Sport which disclosed that the French club is firming up its move to seal a deal for the striker.
The publication claims that PSG are “getting closer” to triggering Osimhen’s €130 million release clause because they believe he is the best option to replace Kylian Mbappé, who is heading to Real Madrid.
The report comes days after prominent Italian pundit Giovanni Scotto also disclosed that Osimhen will join Paris Saint-Germain this summer from Napoli.

Scotto, who made the disclosure in a chat with CalcioNapoli, said that Osimhen will move to PSG despite strong interest from Chelsea and Arsenal.
He also added that the French club is in a favourable position to land the services of the talented striker, as they expect him to replace Kylian Mbappe.
“De Laurentiis was reassured: Osimhen’s 120 million will come, I believe, from Paris Saint Germain,” Scotto told Calcio Napoli via Area Napoli.
“This money will compensate for the lost Champions League revenues and partially those from the Club World Cup.” The sports commentator noted.
